Approximately 1 in
every 50 San Franciscans is living with HIV/AIDS, and AIDS continues
to be among the leading causes of death throughout the Bay Area. The
money we raise will support the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Bay
Area AIDS service organizations and treatment access efforts in the
developing world.
The key is to set a goal. Then make a plan. We will help you.

Each training
program volunteer must commit to raising $1,800. If you are a bit
intimidated by this requirement, you're not alone. But believe it or
not, you can do it. In fact, you'll be surprised at how willing
people are to support you. All you have to do is ask.
Once you
register, you'll be assigned a Program Rep, a member of our staff
who will help guide you every step of the way. In the past ten years, our volunteers have raised more than $80 million for the
fight to end AIDS. Their efforts have dramatically improved the
lives of people living with HIV/AIDS, and forever changed their own.
Volunteers who raise at least
$1,800 will receive marathon registration for The 2008 San Francisco
Marathon™
or Half Marathon, as well as the complete
training program including Running Coach, training materials,
fundraising assistance, and
weekly group runs. |
