Training Begins February 16,
2008.
Hundreds of AIDS Marathon volunteers in the Los Angeles Area will be
training to complete the San Francisco Marathon™ or Half Marathon
on Sunday, August 3, 2008.
Our training programs are geared to both beginners and experienced
runners. The full marathon program starts with three miles of
running and walking, and gradually increases in distance each week. The half
marathon program starts with just one mile. Many of our participants
are first-time marathoners, and some have never run a step in their
lives. But 98% of those who complete the program go on to complete the marathon.
The training requires just 30 minutes, twice a week on your
own, and then a longer group run each weekend. An experienced Running
Coach will be on hand to answer your questions and give you valuable
advice and encouragement. |
